Advice, support and entertainment for carers
Do you care for someone with memory issues? If so, drop in at The Barlow every month to join a friendly group to chat, get advice and information in addition to tea, coffee and cake. All welcome in the main hall. Please invite any family members including children and bring along the person you care for. Memory Cafe is run conjunction with Blackburn with Darwen Carers’ Service. 1.00 pm until 3.00 pm.
Everyone is welcome to this monthly event so come along and enjoy lots of fun. You don’t have to be a carer. Perhaps you would like to come along and help by talking to some of the people attending? Don’t be shy, just turn up.
Memory Cafe Games Afternoon
On the second Monday of every month, starting on 10th February at 1.00 pm
Initially the games will be for one hour, eg: bowling, table tennis and board games. You don’t have to play but there will be good company and the price of £1 includes hot drink and a biscuit. You don’t need to be a regular at Memory Cafe to attend. A friendly chat can mean a great deal to someone who is feeling isolated.
Dates coming up for Memory Cafe with Games Afternoon the following week. Please check dates with office before making a special journey (01204 852216):
