Winter Watch Advance Warning

WINTERWATCH 2022 ADVANCE WARNING

Winterwatch under the umbrella of Urban Outreach will be operating once again in 2022 BUT in a DIFFERENT WAY.

Because of the dreaded COVID RESTRICTIONS, it won’t be possible for Winterwatch to receive cooked meals as in previous years.

Instead, we are asked to bake cakes, scones and mince pies. These should be frozen and clearly marked to show the contents.

Dave and Chris Bagley will be telling us all about their extraordinary work during the service at St. Anne’s on Sunday, January 30th at 11 am. All Welcome.

On Friday, February 4th we will be outside St. Anne’s church between 12 noon and 12-30 to collect the frozen baking and deliver it to Urban Outreach. The window for collection is very small as it’s important that the baking remains frozen.

So can you help us? There are many people in real need in our town. It would be wonderful if we could collect lots of home-baked cakes mince pies and scones to enable those who are in need to get a brief respite from life on the streets.

If you want to help but have questions please make contact on 07967 569837. It’s a really satisfying feeling to know that we can make a difference.

Thanks in advance to everyone who is able to help. Pauline Kirk.
